Types of account:
You can choose between two basic ADSL or ADSL2+ account types.

Family
These packages are competitive in the residential broadband market, with prices from £13.95/month and monthly allowances ranging from 1GB to 120GB which are used between 08:00hrs and 00:00hrs Monday to Friday. Outside of these times usage is uncharged** and is regulated by Entanet’s Anti-Loss Tool, the 'ALT'.

Priority is given to Family packages between 20:00hrs and 00:00hrs Monday to Friday in the event that the ALT is implemented to manage bandwidth availability during times of contention. This is because during this period of time Business packages are outside of their allowance hours while Family packages are within their allowance period. The ALT will operate to optimise bandwidth availability for the majority of users.


Business
These packages meet specific business requirements such as traffic prioritisation during the working week and higher allowance options than the ‘Family’ packages.

The monthly allowance is used between 08:00hrs and 20:00hrs Monday to Friday. During these times Business packages will benefit from traffic prioritisation in the event that Entanet’s Anti-Loss Tool (ALT) is managing bandwidth during times of contention. Outside of the allowance times usage is uncharged** but will again be regulated by the ALT. The ALT will operate to optimise bandwidth availability for the majority of users.


ADSL2+ services are only available on exchanges enabled to support 21C data. Where available, the choice of ADSL2+ is made at the point of ordering.


Bandwidth Overusage
At the point of ordering you will be asked to choose a preferred method of payment for bandwidth overusage. The default option will be to purchase additional bandwidth in the form of pre-pay top-ups. The top-ups do not expire and are only lost if you cease the connection or move to an alternative provider.

Alternatively, you can choose to pay for overusage on a per 1GB post-pay basis. If this option is selected you will pay a set fee per additional 1GB used and will be required to set an upper limit to control your spending. As this limit is reached you will be notified by email.

Upon consumption of all remaining monthly allowance and any top-ups the service will be rate limited to 128Kbps with an additional 1GB provided. Upon consumption of the additional 1GB provided the connection will be blocked until you purchase a top-up or their next billing period start date.

Correspondingly, if you choose to post-pay per 1GB and set an upper credit limit; at the point at which this limit is met the connection will be blocked unless a pre-pay top –up is purchased or the next billing period start date. In both instances you will receive notification by email that you are approaching your limit.

Our ADSL and ADSL2+ broadband accounts have a choice of Business or Family packages, with connections being either Rate Adaptive (as fast as your line allows) or Fixed Rate - at 512Kbps, 1Mbps or 2Mbps. The Rate-Adaptive accounts work at 'Up to 8Mbps' and ADSL2+ accounts work at 'Up to 24Mbps'.

Business Broadband Packages - priority traffic during the daytime

ORDER NOWBusiness packages are available in a choice of 5 monthly allowance options ranging from 15GB to 180GB. All Business packages include either Elevated Best Efforts (EBE) where possible, or provide an increased upload speed of up to 832Kbps through the use of MAX Premium circuits. Elevated Best Efforts guarantees minimum throughput of 3Mbps over the BT network subject to line sync rate. Standard Best Efforts guarantees minimum throughput of 2Mbps. These minimum levels of service are guaranteed for 90% of the time over the busiest 3 hour period.

Activation fee is £40 plus VAT. Additional bandwidth can be purchased in the form of pre-pay top-ups or on a per 1GB post-pay basis. The default method is by top-ups.

Extras

Elevated Best Efforts (EBE) guarantees minimum throughput of 3Mbps over the BT network subject to line sync rate. Standard Best Efforts guarantees minimum throughput of 2Mbps. These minimum levels of service are guaranteed for 90% of the time over the busiest 3 hour period.

Where EBE is available (i.e. on WBC based connections) Business packages include it as standard. However Family package customers with WBC based connections are able to add EBE to their service for an additional monthly fee.

Enhanced Care provides a reduced, 20 hour, fix time in the event of a problem occurring, with Openreach engineers available 24/7. Customers must have 24/7 access to their premises to be able to take advantage of the 20hr fix time. Standard Care has a fix time of 40 hours. Enhanced Care is available to all customers regardless of their choice of package.

The End User Regrade charge applies to customers who wish to move from a Family package to a Business Package or vice versa. No charge applies if a customer wishes to move between allowance options e.g. Family 1 to a Family 3.

Migrating in to our service

If you're not satisfied with your current broadband supplier, you can migrate in to our Entanet-based service. Migration is the term used to move an existing broadband connection from one ISP to another without any downtime. You are able to migrate to any of our broadband products, ie Orginal, Max PAYG and Max Allowance. The connection will automatically benefit from one static IP address being included free of charge.

Migration orders placed with a MAC code beginning with BBIP/FTIP or BBDS will be free of charge. For orders with a MAC code beginning with LLU or Lxxx, a £40 + VAT charge will be incurred if the connection is migrating from an LLU provider.

Before placing a migration order you will need to provide a Migration Authorisation Code (MAC). The MAC will be provided by the losing ISP. When the losing ISP provides the MAC they are confirming their agreement to allow the migration to go ahead.
