WHY USE NORFOLK INTERNET ADSL?

Although we consider our pricing to be extremely competitive, you may find other ISPs providing special offers when you sign up.

Before you are attracted by any apparent 'bargains', you should also consider the kind of response you are likely to get to support issues, plus the effort involved when contacting the ISP's 'helpdesk'.

Also, some ISPs don't provide MAC codes, webspace, email or outgoing mail relay facilities - which means you may get 'stuck' with them or might not be able to send outgoing mail whilst connected!

ACTIVATION CHARGES REDUCED


From 1st September '05, the one-off activation fee for ADSL accounts has been reduced to £45 +VAT
. You still enjoy a monthly contract and don't get tied in to a lengthy agreement.

MIGRATING TO NORFOLK INTERNET

If you would like to move to our ADSL broadband service from another supplier, please contact us by phone to arrange it. There is normally a one-off charge involved, but we're currently offering Free of Charge migrations for IPStream users.

Migration orders placed with a MAC code beginning with BBIP/FTIP or BBDS will be free of charge. For orders with a MAC code beginning with LLU or Lxxx, a £45 + VAT charge will be incurred if the connection is migrating from an LLU provider.


Please can you ensure that you provide us with the following details...

  • The name of your current ISP and the product name of the service you currently have
  • Your connection's bandwidth (speed) and contention ratio (20:1, 50:1 etc)
  • Whether your existing service is a BT installed product or a Wires Only product
  • Your MAC code. This is the unique migration code obtained from your existing ISP which grants permission for the move.

If in doubt about your migration, drop us an email first (try to give us as much info as possible) and we'll provide you with a step-by-step plan of action.

We provide users with the choice of four account types which are tailored to suit different usage patterns.

BROADBAND ACCOUNT TYPES...

UNRESTRICTED
Classic ADSL broadband - choose your preferred speed at Home or Office contention ratios.
No monthly transfer limits (subject to acceptable use policy). A fixed fee service suitable for heavy home or office users.

MANAGED
Available on Home or Office accounts, with speeds and facilities exactly as above apart from monthly data transfer limits.

  • Home accounts 1.5GB monthly limit.
  • Office accounts 3GB monthly limit.

Users uploading / downloading more than their monthly limit have an overuse charge of £12.50 + VAT applied for the month, for which they are granted unrestricted access for the remainder of that month. This works like a 'temporary upgrade' and allows for low regular monthly costs but heavy usage when required.

MAX PAYG
Broadband Home and Office PAYG are versatile 'Max' connections which will operate at the fastest your line allows up to BT's maximum (now 8Mb). It's a 'capped' service - monthly data transfer is 1GB, with an overuse fee of around £1 per extra GB downloded. Great value for light/medium users whose usage fluctuates slightly, as extra data transfer is paid for in small chunks.

MAX ALLOWANCE
This new service is great value for medium-high usage. It works at the fastest speed available on your line (now 8Mb) and allocates very generous data transfer limits based on peaktime / offpeak periods. There are lots of accounts to choose from, starting from £16.50 for 3GB peak and a generous 30GB offpeak (ideal for evening and weekend users), with our standard 30/300GB account at just £19.99.

BONDED
We have now introduced a Managed Bonded ADSL service. It's ideal for businesses who need an even faster connection (both upload and download) but don't want the outlay of a leased line and/or can't get SDSL broadband from their exchange.
